Learning To Live After Losing A Person

Regeneration

January 17th, 2008 by Pamela

I saw this fact posted on the web today:

If 80 percent of your liver were to be removed, the remaining
part would continue to function, and within a few months the
liver would have reconstituted itself to its original size.

So wouldn’t it be great if medical scientists could figure out what it is about the liver that makes it regenerate itself, and then find a way to get other cells in the body to be able to do it, too?
