Learning To Live After Losing A Person

Bad Luck

January 29th, 2008 by Pamela

It seems that when bad luck hits my family it just pours bad luck.  My poor mom has been through so much lately.  Her car has been in the shop three times in the past two weeks.  First it was the fuel filter and now it’s the transmission.  Her car is only 5 years old.  Luckily, both have been covered under warranty so far and she has only had to pay her deductibles (which are high enough themselves).  Then, her temporary crown fell off, but she was able to get it stuck back on.  Of course, come Sunday night, it fell off again.  Unfortunately, this time it was while she was eating, and you guessed it.   CRUNCH.  Took a big chunk right out of the side of it.  So then, I go to turn my bedroom light on the other night and had to flip it three times to get it to come on.  But when it did come on, the light flickered quite a bit and the wall switch made a staticky, popping, crackling sound.  Yeah.  Not good.  AND THEN…I was carrying my dinner plate and my toe caught in the hem of my pajama pants and yes, my plate went flying.  All over the place.  That was fun to clean up.  Oh, did I mention that my refrigerator is also now making odd sounds?

 When it rains, it pours.
