Uncovering Pamela
Learning To Live After Losing A Person

Harry Potter Movie News

March 14th, 2008 by Pamela

I’ll admit it.  I’m a complete sci fi/fantasy geek and an avid reader.  I love the Harry Potter book series (typically read each book in a single day), but have not been so overwhelmed by the movies.  I’ve felt that in an interest of cutting down on the length of the movies, they really weren’t able to take advantage of the beauty of the books.  They cut too much, often leaving out the best parts or what I felt were the most important parts.  I have also felt that because there are so many Harry Potter fans and because those who are true fans really love the series, that they could make the movies much longer and the audiences would not complain at all.

The final Harry Potter book, The Deathy Hallows, came out last July and I devoured it.  It was simply amazing and I felt it was the best book in the entire series.  Imagine my fright when considering what they could possibly do to the movie version.

I heard the most wonderful news yesterday, though!  They are going to make two movies out of it so that they don’t have to cut out as much.  This is fantastic!! I’m so excited!  The first will come out in late 2010.  The question now is how I’m going to be able to stand to wait so long!  Hopefully the one coming out this November (the Half-Blood Prince) will be good enough to tide me over until then!
