Learning To Live After Losing A Person

Work Temptations

March 28th, 2008 by Pamela

Normally, I have no problems sticking to my plan while I’m at work.  It’s always been at home that I’ve struggled.  It is probably because I have less access to food while at work.

This week, however, my real difficulties have been in the workplace.  Periodically, my company will cater in a lunch meal to thank us for our hard work, and for the last couple of years, I’ve not allowed myself to participate.  I decided this time I was going to take advantage of it like everybody else can.  So, I had small servings of meat lasagna, vegetable lasagna, and chicken fettuccini alfredo.  I also had a delicious roll with a small bit of butter and a cookie.  I shudder to think of the calories, but it was seriously yummy.

So then I was feeling guilty about that, and I go into work last night and one of the secretaries that we’ve helped in the past had brought in cookies to thank us!  They were M&M cookies and were huge.  And yes, I broke down and had one.  So there you have it.  We’ll see what it does to my weigh-in on Tuesday.
