More about my Sunday walk

When telling you about my walk around the park on Sunday, I forgot to tell you a couple of things that I saw!

The first (and best) was a man riding a unicycle!  I kid you not!  It was great.   I don’t know how he was doing it, but it looks like a great ab workout.

The second was this one bench.  Every time I passed by, there was someone different sitting on it.  On my final lap, a man was sitting there with his girlfriend (at least I assume it was his girlfriend since she had her head in his lap).  Okay, it wasn’t like that.  Get your head out of the gutter.  What stood out to me, though, was that he was eating ice cream.  With a spoon.  Out of a carton.  At the park.  While I was working my butt off.  Talk about inspiring jealousy.

The third and final thing was this woman and her little girl.  The little girl must have been around 2 or 3 (although I’m a terrible judge of kids’ ages).  They were bent over looking at something on the ground and then they straightened up and started walking again.  The little girl bounced up and down and started running down the path in front of her mom yelling “run, mommy, run!”  It was a great reminder of one of the reasons I’m doing this.  I want to be healthier and some day I would like to have children (God willing).  And when my little girl or little boy says “run, mommy, run,” I actually want to be able to do it.

That is so true about being able to run with your kids! I can’t do anything with my niece and nephew right now and I feel so guilty saying no to their little faces!

As you might be able to see I’m starting from the very beginning reading post after post, and you’ve just inspired me to give the 1 mile Lesley Sansone dvd, so thanks!

I’m just at the beginning of my journey, 12lbs out of 280lbs lost so far and I’ll need all the inspiration I can get :)
