Nude Painting Sets Record

May 14th, 2008 by Pamela

I’m absolutely stunned that in a world that is so hostile towards overweight people that a nude painting of an overweight woman set a record.  It sold for $33.6 million dollars, more than any other painting sold by a living painter.

Here’s a link to the CNN article, but will warn you that it contains an image of the painting itself, so contains a bit of nudity.

So, my husband just happened to pass by the computer as I was reading the article. He stopped and looked at the picture and said, “Oh, no she didn’t! She is so wrong for that!” and laughed.

Okay, now help me understand. He wonders why I have never let him see me naked in the 14 years we’ve been together. Except for the face, this is an exact picture my body. UGHH, he makes me so mad!!!
