Uncovering Pamela
Learning To Live After Losing A Person

For every good movie…

June 9th, 2008 by Pamela

I went and saw Iron Man this morning.  What a fantastic movie!  I’ll admit that I wasn’t all that familiar with the story, as it’s one of the comics I’ve never read.  Pretty much what I knew about it came from the movie previews.  The movie was incredible!  I think it completely lives up to the rave reviews I’d been hearing.  Robert Downey, Jr. did an awesome job.  Or, at least I thought so in my uninformed opinion.  The technology in the movie was stunning.  I’m a complete sucker for new technology and have often wished that I could live well into the future to see what it holds.  Of course, that could explain the obsession that I had with Star Trek: The Next Generation when I was growing up.  I highly recommend that you check this movie out while it’s still in the theater.

However.  For every good movie, there is a bad one.  And by bad, I mean, rotten, stinky, puss-filled boil on the face of the movie industry bad.  Most recently, the record has been held by the movie “I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With.”  As of today, it has been bumped down the list by the worst movie I think I’ve ever seen.  It’s called “Smiley Face” and I’m ashamed that I even bought it.  I will admit that I only bought it because John Krasinski is in it and because it was on sale…cheap…at Blockbuster.  That’s no excuse, though, for the 85 minutes of my life that were just wasted.  My advice:  if you see it on the shelf, run.

Um Pammykins… so you write about Iron Man and not one single mention of Leslie?
