Weigh-In 6/10/08 “Goodbye Obesity”

Happy Tuesday!

I’m flying high today!  I lost 2.3 pounds this week, for a grand total of 155.9 pounds lost!  I am only 34 pounds away from my WW goal weight.

I’m only 0.2 less than I was four weeks ago, but I’ve made up for all of my recent gains and am at my lowest weight so far on this WW journey.

I did great this week!  I earned 29 Activity Points and ate every single one of them.  I also ate 22.5 of my Flex Points (out of 35).  Obviously, that’s a fantastic advantage to working out – I get to eat more!  To me, that’s always a plus!

Apparently, exercising on the Wii Fit works!  I’ve been doing it every day for about an hour or so.  The great majority of that time calculation is based on time spent on aerobics.  I don’t usually count all of the time spent on yoga/strength training/balance games.  (By the way, I have a new record on the Advanced Step – 660).

While I’m happy about my huge loss (and for me, that is huge), most of my excitement comes from the fact that as of today, I am no longer obese!  I am merely overweight!  Whoever would have thought someone would be so excited to be overweight?  This has been a huge goal of mine since I started Weight Watchers, so I’m really proud of myself today.  Since I’ve been considered obese since about the 3rd or 4th grade and was morbidly obese (I hate that term) less than two years ago, it’s going to take some time before I stop seeing myself that way.  At least I have the numbers to prove it when the doubt kicks in.

    Pamela, may I just say, WOW! Or perhaps a DOUBLE WOW! is more appropriate.

    You’re amazing! Losing 155.9 pounds is a major life accomplishment. As for getting out of the obese category, that is wonderful. Like you said, it will probably take some time for your brain to catch up to the fact that you’re a skinny girl now, but when it does, watch out world. This proves there’s nothing you can’t accomplish when you put your mind to it.

    I looked at the rest of your website and you’re absolutely beautiful. The difference is stunning in your before and after pictures. When you reach goal, do you plan on submitting your story to Weight Watchers or maybe writing a book? :) I’d buy it!

    Continue to have a great week Pamela…and you go girl! I can’t wait to see what your final “after” pictures.

    Also, thanks for the comment about my bout with the flu. That was very sweet. I’m much better today, I even went back to work. :)

    hey good for you! what a great sv. i hate the word obese. im trying to kill the morbid in front of it first then its days are numbered. I agree with diana’s hubby too. you are hot.

    Diana, thank your hubby for me, too. You’re all very sweet! I’ve thought about submitting my story to Weight Watchers, but we’ll have to see how I feel when I’m a bit closer to goal. I’ve actually always wanted to write a book, too, but have yet to actually sit down and do it! :-P Maybe someday. I’m glad you’re feeling better!
