Uncovering Pamela
Learning To Live After Losing A Person

Weigh-In 6/24/08

June 24th, 2008 by Pamela

Well, I didn’t gain nearly as much as the scale showed yesterday (when I peeked), thank God.  I only gained 0.4 lb, and since it’s less than 1/2 a pound, I’m going to call it a maintain instead of a gain.

As I mentioned yesterday, I’m not sure why it happened.  I stayed within my points and exercised.  The only thing I can think of is that maybe it was because I slacked on my water intake for the week.  I also ate a few things over the weekend that were a bit higher in sodium from what I usually eat.  I tend to look at how much sodium is in something, but don’t really do anything active about trying to avoid it.  If there are two products on the shelf in front of me that are about the same, but one is a lower sodium product, I’ll go for the lower sodium one, of course.  Other than that, I don’t really go out of my way to avoid it.

We’ll see what happens this week.  My goal is to continue what I’m doing by staying on plan and exercising and to also amp up my water intake.

PSA: Muscle still weighs more than fat.

Now, I know you’re not doing any strength training, but if you were not active before doing the Wii Fit then I suspect you may have gotten some muscle.

True, muscle is denser than fat.

And it’s a good point you have. I have been doing some strength training, but nothing major. In fact, when I usually start exercising again after a long break, I tend to gain a lot that week. It didn’t seem to happen this time around, so maybe it’s just catching up with me.

My dear Pamela, .4 pounds is nothing. You could have had a glass of water and gained .4 pounds. But I know, it’s still a little disappointing. This is a new week and we’ll both do better!
