I reviewed a book yesterday that was written by Brene Brown and that discusses the idea of shame. I know that not everyone out there is the avid reader that I am, and while I did give a link to her website, I thought I would give you a link to a page on that site that contains video footage of an interview she did for PBS. In the videos, she discusses topics from her book.

Wow! I watched all three of the videos and checked out her blog. I’m very impressed with Brene. Everything she says makes so much sense, and I can totally relate. The perfectionism/shame at not being perfrect, that’s me. I just ordered her book on Amazon.com (and it wasn’t $1.99 – you got a bargain).
Thanks again for the great review. You’re the best!

Uh-oh. The pressure’s on now! If you hate the book, I’m going to feel terrible!
I think that’s part of why I love her work so much (the whole idea of trying to attain perfection). I also like her differentiation of the terms shame and guilt. It’s made me realize that I normally respond with shame, instead of guilt. I hope you enjoy the book! Let me know what you think!
At the WOF conference several speakers spoke about shame and guilt. Apparently it’s a theme among many women. Of course, I’m not sure about their solution – hand it over to Jesus. You know how I feel about that. I wish it was that easy.
