Learning To Live After Losing A Person

Ack! - Sheridan’s

July 23rd, 2008 by Pamela

I don’t know what my deal is, but today I am ravenous!  I’m not talking of a situation in which I just feel like I want to eat a lot, I’m talking about gnawing, bottomless-pit, literal hunger pains.  So far, I’ve confined myself to an extra banana and yogurt, without going to town on anything else, but what do I find when I get to work?

Today was sundae day!  They catered in Sheridan’s custard for the entire company, and saved us each a cup of it (with chocolate syrup and strawberries) in our freezer.  How do I avoid the temptation?  AHHH!

To be honest, I really don’t want to.  So, I think I’ll allow myself a few bites, try to figure out the points, and then be extra good the rest of the week (if that’s even possible).  ;)

Update:  I did good! I had about half a cup, counted 3 points for it (a cup runs about 6 points apparently) and threw the rest away!

Pamela - sometimes I swear you and I are living parallel lives. I’ve been starving all week too, ravenous starving where I want to eat everything in sight.

Fortunately, no treats in my office this week. I’m not sure I could do as well as you did with your Sheridan’s custard. Good job on eating just part of it and throwing out the rest! You have some amazing willpower.
