Up Early
I’m up early this morning. I only got about 5 1/2 - 6 hours of sleep, but I just couldn’t lie there anymore.
My mom and I went to see Mamma Mia yesterday and it was fantastic! I absolutely loved it and she enjoyed it even more than I did. She’s extremely picky as far as the movies that she likes, and when it was over, she actually said multiple times that she wanted to stay and watch it again. The singing was great (we even picked up the soundtrack later that day) and the eye candy wasn’t bad either!
In fact, there’s a scene of dancing at the end that while rather short, should warm every straight girl’s heart.
But then, it’s hard to go wrong with Pierce Brosnan and Colin Firth in the same movie.
This morning we’re going to see Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3D. I’m really excited about it. My friend/co-worker who moved to L.A. e-mailed me last week to tell me that it was fantastic, but that I had to see it in 3D, so I can’t wait!
I hope you all have a happy Sunday, whatever you’re doing!
I’m off to work out!

I’m glad to hear Mamma Mia was good because my husband and I both want to see it. Somehow we made the poor decision yesterday to see X-Files. OMG! Horrible! There were a few funny lines, but basically it sucked.
Not to give too much away, but the relationship with Scully and Mulder goes to a new level. I didn’t like that part, sort of ruined the sexual tension that was always between them in the TV show.
And David Duchovny is soooo old! He doesn’t even look like himself anymore, just a vague similarity to the handsome man he use to be. I know that sounds shallow, but movies stars are suppose to be pretty. That’s part of why we pay good money to see them. If the story would have been better, I probably wouldn’t have minded so much that he’s aged about 20 years since the last time I saw him, but it wasn’t good. Anyway, it would be okay for a rental.
Can’t wait to hear your review of Journey to the Center of the Earth because that’s another one I want to see. You’re like my personal movie reviewer.

Thanks for the great review of Mamma Mia. Both my husband and I want to see it. I know, sort of strange he actually said he wanted to see a chick flick - but he’s pretty easy to get to the movies I suggest.
We (okay - it was really my suggestion) made the terrible decision yesterday to see X-Files: I Want to Believe. OMG! Horrible. There were a few funny lines but basically it sucked.
David Duchovny looked as old as dirt. Just a vague similarity to the handsome man he use to be. And not to give too much away, but the relationship with Scully and Mulder goes to a new level. That took away a lot of the sexual tension they use to have on the TV show.
There was a side story going on with Scully that was heart-breaking. I didn’t understand the purpose of that other than making me want to cry.
Can’t wait to hear your review of Journey to the Center of the Earth. That’s another one I want to see. You’re like my personal movie reviewer. Thanks!
And you have a great day too!

Thanks for the reviews of X-Files, you guys! I’m sorry to hear it was so bad! I was looking forward to seeing it. But you’ve saved me some money! I’ll wait until it hits the Redbox.
It appears that I forgot to mention that the dancing scene towards the end involves water. Lots and lots of water and shirt removals…
