Journey to the Center of the Earth - 3D

July 28th, 2008 by Pamela

We did end up seeing Journey to the Center of the Earth yesterday and I loved it!  My mom thought it was “okay.”

It’s the typical summer action flick, but there were parts that I really thought were funny, and even a part that made me almost cry.  For some reason, that scene in the preview where Brendan Fraser screams “we’re still falling!” cracks me up every time I see it.  Maybe it doesn’t take much to amuse me.

I really like the young actor that is in it, Josh Hutcherson.  I’ve liked him in just about everything I’ve seen him in.

The 3D graphics were very cool, and they even made me jump a couple of times, but by the time I left the theater, I had a small headache and was feeling somewhat nauseous.

I enjoyed seeing Brendan in 3D, though.  ;)

There was a preview for a 3D animated movie before it that I’m dying to see.  I don’t even remember what it was called or really what it was about (I think something about some kind of bugs in space), but the graphics were absolutely incredible!  It was like the scenes were sitting right in your lap!

One thing the movie did is make me extremely interested in reading “Journey to the Center of the Earth” by Jules Vern!

I really wanted to see this but our stupid brand-new fancy theater that advertised it was in 3D told us oh sorry, we don’t have the right camera.

We saw Dark Knight instead, becasue of your recommendation. I loved it! Husband hated it. I’m hearing that a lot, the women love, the men not so much. I think it’s Christian Bale, I think I’m in love. :)

Uh, uh, uh, he’s all mine! ;)

I’m so glad you enjoyed it!!

It is interesting that more women seem to enjoy it, especially since it is so violent! You may be on to something there!
