Learning To Live After Losing A Person

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

July 29th, 2008 by Pamela

I’ll admit it.  I adore Harry Potter.  I’ve devoured every book as quickly as possible, but have been less than thrilled with most of the movies.

I am, however, one of those people that refuses to give up hope.  Each time, I hope for something spectacular, and somehow the times that I end up disappointed don’t make me lose hope for the next go-around.

I just saw a preview for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince for the first time.  You can find it here.  It looks great, and I can’t wait for November!!

It’s kind of funny how excited I get about things.  I sometimes think I’m a 12 year old kid stuck in a 30 year old woman’s body.  Okay, wait, that didn’t sound right….but you know what I mean.

Me too! I loved each and every one of the Harry Potter books. I thought I was a little weird because I’m not a kid either. Once I was on a plane, reading the latest Harry Potter book (I’d taken off the cover so it wouldn’t be too obvious what I was reading). There was a guy next to me, about my age or a little older, kind of a rough, tough looking guy. He asked what I was reading. I was so embarrassed, but I told him it was the latest Harry Potter book. He said he just loved those books and had just finished reading the one I was reading. We talked Harry Potter talk for about the next hour. I guess there’s a kid in all of us.

I didn’t know there was another movie coming out. Can’t wait to see it.
