Weigh-In 7/29/08 (Driver’s License)
It was time to renew my driver’s license again last August and I had moved to a state where they post your weight on your Driver’s License! Yeah, I don’t know what I was thinking, but in all honesty, what in the world are they thinking? I mean, seriously? People gain and lose weight all of the time. And people lie. It’s not like they have a scale right there in the DMV to weigh you as you register. (Can you all join me in a “Hallelujah”?) Ever since I first got my license at 16, my posted weight has been a total fabrication. Okay, really, an out-and-out lie.
Even this time around, I fudged it a bit, by about 35 pounds or so and put 180 pounds. I took a leap of faith in that I would keep losing, and wouldn’t gain it all back. Luckily, it paid off. Because, as of today’s weigh-in, I officially weigh less than my Driver’s License says I do. For the first time in my life. It’s only half a pound, but even weighing the same would be an accomplishment!
And as I can hear your brains doing the mental calculations now, I saved you all the trouble and finally posted my weights on my Progress Chart. I figured it was time to break through the humiliation and just put it out there. It’s not like you couldn’t figure it out anyway!
I lost 1.1 pounds this week, for a grand total of 163.4 pounds gone!

Wow! I’m constantly amazed by you! You truly are an inspiration for me.
And we weigh almost exactly the same now. I sort of made fun of my sister and the 30 pounds she needs to lose, but this part does seem to be the hardest, doesn’t it? But we’ll do it, I just know we’ll make it to goal.

Aww, Diana! You’re so sweet! Never forget that you are just as much of an inspiration, if not more with the way you hit the gym!
It does seem to get harder as you get farther down the scale, but I understood what you meant! And you’re right! We will do it!

Our state also requires that they put your weight on it. How rude! And if I ever walk in there and they have a scale, that is the day I will quit driving! ;o)
