Learning To Live After Losing A Person

Common Sense, where art thou?

July 31st, 2008 by Pamela

Be prepared.  I’m about to state a massive understatement:

Sometimes I wonder about people.

We have a new co-worker who seems like an intelligent woman.  However, in the common sense department, I’m beginning to wonder.

She left work one day with several items sitting on her desk of questionable nature.

  • A box of unused insulin needles.
  • An envelope that contained what appeared to be a check.
  • An envelope that contained what appeared to be a medical bill.
  • A roll of stamps.
  • Voter registration cards.
  • A box containing facial hair remover (Yeah, at work.  I’m still shaking my head over this one.)
  • And, last but not least, a credit card.

This is the same woman that left cheddar cheese and some kind of taco/spaghetti sauce on her desk for several days.  They were in containers, but wouldn’t common sense dictate that it should be refrigerated?  I hope to God she didn’t eat it.

Luckily, we’re in a very secure building, and it’s a good thing she works with trustworthy people.

She hasn’t done it since, but yeah, I wonder about people.

Literally laughing out loud at this one! I can just picture you staring at her desk and taking it all in! HA!
