All-Bran Extra Fiber Cereal
I’ve been on a mission to find a low point cereal, and I’ve finally found one that I can add to my meal plan on a daily basis, free of guilt.
It’s All-Bran Extra Fiber Cereal. At 50 calories, 1 gram of fat, and 13 grams of fiber for 1/2 a cup (a pretty good amount), it’s 0 points! So, if I’m going to have a cup of milk, I might as well add some of this cereal and get some extra fiber at the same time.
I was afraid that it would really taste like cardboard, but I actually like it. I do add a bit of splenda (not even a whole package), but it somewhat reminds me of a cereal that I used to eat at my Grandma’s house when I was little. It was called Cracklin’ Oat Bran (I know!). But I was a kid, and I loved it! However, All-Bran Extra Fiber is much, much better for you.
I do recommend getting it at Big Lots, if you can find it there. I priced it at several grocery stores at about $3.50 per box, but was able to find it at Big Lots for only $2.00. I stocked up.
