Big and Juicy
No, I’m not talking about me. I’m talking about the grapes I’m eating. They’re black seedless grapes that I got at Whole Foods yesterday. While outrageously expensive, these things are HUGE and DELICIOUS! I mean, we’re talking the size of eyeballs here. Grapes have become my recent addiction. I’ve always adored grapes, but didn’t eat them very often. Frankly, I was probably just too lazy to want to pull them off the stems and wash them. But in preparation for my Metformin induction, I’ve been gradually adding more fruits into my diet. After trying them all again, I’ve decided that I like them in this order: Black, Red, and Green.
I’ve also tried freezing them like everyone recommends, but while they’re okay that way, I don’t think it’s something I would like to eat a lot of. They’re good, but almost too…..something…..frozen. Too sour maybe? I don’t know.
I also finally found the Tofu Shirataki noodles that Hungry-Girl raves about constantly. They were only $1.50 for a package, so I grabbed one of the fettuccine packages. And then proceeded to be my usual dumbass self. I left them sitting on the kitchen counter by accident, and found them…drumroll…six hours later. Yes, they needed to be refrigerated. I guess the miracle in this was that I had somehow been able to keep myself out of the kitchen for those six hours. Yes, a miracle indeed.
So, into the trash they went. I’ll get another package this weekend and give them a whirl. You can’t beat 40 calories for an entire package of the stuff. I’ll let you know what I think. I doubt they could be good enough to prompt me to give up my beloved Fiber Gourmet pasta, though.

I also do not like frozen grapes. Yuck! They use to rave about them at my WW meetings. Why would you want to suck on a frozen grape when you can eat a fresh, sweet, juicy one? It’s beyond me! lol
