Learning To Live After Losing A Person

Uniform Mondays

August 4th, 2008 by Pamela

I’ve always hated Mondays.  Of course, who hasn’t?

A few weeks ago, one of my co-workers (that happens to be my closest friend at work) and I ended up wearing practically the same thing on a Monday.  We were both wearing gray pants and a black shirt.    Then it happened again.  On a Monday.  So, we joked that it had become our uniform for Mondays.  Every Monday since, we’ve worn gray pants and a black shirt to show our solidarity in our hatred of Mondays.  I almost broke it today to wear one of my new outfits, but I didn’t, and now I’m glad I didn’t.  I do think I’m going to have to retire this shirt pretty soon, though.  Luckily, black isn’t an endangered color in my wardrobe.  She joked today about how much easier it makes her Mondays.  We don’t have to worry about what to wear!
