Uncovering Pamela
Learning To Live After Losing A Person

Weigh-In 8/26/08

August 28th, 2008 by Pamela

I’mmmmmm baaaaaack!

I had a wonderful weekend with my friends.  Sadly, they had to leave this morning, but I knew they couldn’t stay forever.  I did do my damnedest, though, to talk them into moving here.  If they don’t, it’s not from lack of trying on my part!  :)

I promised them I would print a retraction of my previous statement.  They absolutely do not eat like birds.  At least while on the road, anyway.  I did accuse them of just trying to prove me wrong, but they swore that they weren’t.  Though they are very careful with what they eat, we pretty much ate our way across KC:  Sweet Tomatoes (twice), Bob Evans, Panera, Texas Roadhouse, Red Lobster, Raglan Road (an Irish pub), Olive Garden, Foo’s Frozen Custard, First Watch, to name a few.  It was yummy.

Somehow, I miraculously lost 1.8 pounds at my weigh-in on Tuesday.  I did weigh at a different time than usual since my schedule was a bit backwards.  I’m also certain that I will be showing a gain next week as it all catches up to me.  I do have more family coming into town this weekend, so my hiatus from being on plan will most likely continue through next Monday.  I’m okay with that.  I know that life happens sometimes and I know that I’ll be back on track next Tuesday.

It was terrific to see my friends again and good for my soul.  It’s really hard at times to live so far away from them.  I love KC, though, so I can’t imagine moving anytime soon.  I wish them all the best, hope they enjoy the rest of their trip, and hope that they get to their final destination safely.

So, bear with me as I catch up on my blog reading!  You all are such writing fiends that it might take me a while!  I look forward to catching up on all that’s going on with you, though.  For now, I’m off to watch more of the DNC!
