Two of my current favorite pictures were taken while my friends were here a couple of weekends ago (time flies).
The first was taken at the Kansas City Zoo and is probably one of my favorite pictures of all of the pictures I’ve ever taken. I’m not sure what it is about it. I just get such a feeling of color and joy when I look at it. It makes me want to laugh. I usually favor black and white photos, but I love this one (click on the thumbnail to see it in its original size):
The second was taken of one of my friends and me at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. I still hate having my photo taken since they usually turn out terrible, but since my weight loss, it doesn’t bother me quite as much as it did. It’s not that I think I look particularly wonderful in this picture, because I don’t. The reason I like this photo is because in looking at it, it reminds me of just how happy I was when it was being taken. The laughter and joy I felt around the time this picture was taken is a true testament to my friends. I’ve cut my friend out to preserve her privacy, but you can take my word that she’s gorgeous. They both are!
I also really enjoy this one that I almost didn’t pose for. Notice that I’m still being a good girl and only drinking water.

LOVE the budda picture. hope you don’t mind but i set it up to be my iphones wallpaper. now whenever i turn on my phone ill think of you, and little fat chinese bellies…
Wow! I love the picture taken at the zoo. You could win an award with that one. I actually put it as my desktop wallpaper before I saw Carlos’ comment. It’s really a good picture.
And may I just say my dear, YOU look fab-u-lous! Look at that collarbone jutting out there. You look like a model, seriously, you’re beautiful! No wonder peole are calling you that name that I shall not repeat here.
Great pics – thanks so much for sharing.
Geez! That should have been people, not ‘peole’.
Thank you guys! I’m so pleased that you like the Buddha picture. As I said, he just makes me want to laugh. He looks so happy.
And Diana, thank you so much for your sweet words! You’re too good to me!
Your friend’s may be gorgeous, but so are you! I absolutely love the one of you in red. In fact, I think that is my favorite one of you to date! And I also love the Buddha one. You’re so right! It does make you just want to laugh! lol
