Punishment?

I decided not to go for a walk today.  I went yesterday, but I just couldn’t do it when I woke up today.  I even got out of bed, went to the bathroom, and then went back to bed for an hour!  I know I should have just done it, especially since I was actually up and out of bed, but I just didn’t want to.  So, I didn’t.

When I woke up, I had a splitting headache that is just now starting to slightly dissipate.  I realized soon after that I think I was being punished today for not going for that walk.  I’ve mentioned before about how much I hate ironing and how much of a klutz I am.  I burned myself AGAIN today.  This time on my hand.  Oh, it hurt like hell.  I know I need to slow down, but I just want to get it over with as fast as possible and it’s so frustrating.  Then, traffic on the way into work was horrendous.  Is it just me, or are there an abnormally large number of people lately that just can’t seem to stay in their own lanes?  I wonder if this number is increasing in direct proportion to the number of people who own cell phones.

I mentioned that I stopped and got gas on my way home from work last night.  Gas prices have slowly been dropping in my neck of the woods, by about one or two cents every few days.  I got gas for $2.94 a gallon at about 12:30 am.  When I went to work around 4:00 pm today, it was down to $2.86.  Just not fair.  I also personally think that it’s an awfully interesting coincidence that gas prices are plummeting right before an election.  Didn’t that happen last time?

I get to work and have an e-mail from one of the ladies I’m supposed to meet for lunch on Saturday and her hip went out.  So, the lunch I was looking forward to on Saturday is now off.

I then got an absolutely horrendous job in to do that was a rush.  Of course.

Yup, I’m being punished.

I’m going to look on the bright side, though.

  • I still have tomorrow off.
  • I get to leave a bit early tonight.
  • I’m still binge-free.
  • I won’t have to figure out how to track my points for lunch on Saturday and we can always try to reschedule.
  • I’m probably going to go to the movies tomorrow – haven’t decided what to see yet, though.  I want to see:
    • Nights in Rodanthe (but I didn’t really want to see it until I finished the book, which I’m reading now)
    • City of Ember
    • Blindness
    • Quarantine
    • Burn After Reading
    • Eagle Eye (used to be a huge Shia LaBeouf fan)
    • Religulous

Right now, I’m leaning towards Nights in Rodanthe (hopefully I can finish the book tonight), City of Ember, Religulous, or Blindness.

I’m not sure how often I’ll post this weekend, so I hope you all have a happy one!
