Learning To Live After Losing A Person

An Irish Prayer

October 28th, 2008 by Pamela

I’m currently in the middle of saying massive prayers for myself.  For the longest time, I’ve dreamed of going to Ireland and as it stands, I could honestly say that for the past few years it has been my biggest dream in life.  I have the chance to go with two very good friends in March.  They’ve been so kind as to invite me along on their adventure.  The added benefit is that they’ve already been once before.

My only problem now is figuring out how to pay for it.  Luckily it’s several months away, so I have a bit of time to save and get a ticket, but there are several things I need to figure out, as you all know I’m not exactly rolling in the dough.

So please cross your fingers; pray to your God, a saint, or the cookie monster; light a candle; do a jig; cast a spell; or whatever else you may do for whatever faith you follow that I am able to figure this out and am able to swing it.  And hey, donations are always accepted.  :)  Just kidding!  And in thinking about what I just wrote, I’m wondering what faith symbolizes the cookie monster.  Note to self:  must find it.

On a completely unrelated note, did anyone watch The Biggest Loser tonight?  I think one of my favorite comments on any show ever was made by Bob tonight when he described Vicky.  ”That wife.  That wife.  She’s Shakespearean.”  Utterly fantastic.

i am a cookie jar worshipper myself, although i’ve dabbled in cookie dough, cookies n’ cream, and tollhouse cookie pie. i’ll consult all of them if it’ll help you make this trip. :)

Irish prayers coming your way! I truly pray you get to go!

As far as The Biggest Loser, check out my blog entry for today. I’m not quite finished it yet, but I should be through soon. I’m having to edit and re-edit so I don’t offend anyone! lol

Thanks guys, I can use all the luck I can find! Don’t worship the cookie jar too much, though. I wouldn’t want you all to have a setback on my account. :)
