First, I’ll get the polarizing stuff out of the way. Quick – any right-leaners or republicans, look away for a moment, please. If any of you have any tendency to slightly lean to the left politically, you have to check out this blog:
Margaret and Helen: Friends for 60 years and counting…
It is freaking hilarious. If you’re a democrat, anyway.
Now on to part two, which is progress. By that, I mean my progress. I know it’s only day two, but my week is actually going pretty well so far. I’ve stuck to my points (both days under my 5 flex point maximum) and I even went for a walk last night for 45 minutes. I’m going to try and get some walking in again tonight. I’m determined to make it through a third week totally on plan. Wouldn’t that be amazing? I got sick of my usual sandwiches and/or hamburger helper meals at work, so I decided to fix one of my old favorites Sunday night. It’s the Mexican Corn Bake and the recipe can be found on my Food Ideas page (link above). It sounds odd, but I personally think it’s yummy.
Also, is it just me, or did anyone else keep thinking that today was Thursday? I’m sure I can’t be alone. Maybe there’s some kind of time warp going on or something. I know that it can just be wishful thinking.

Pamela, OMG, Helen is a hoot! ROFL
I only read her first post, but as soon as I was done I immediately added her to my favorites! I can’t wait to go back and read the rest of them! Hell, I’m never going to go to sleep now! lol
My sil is going to get a kick out of her, too. Where did you find her? lol
And no, it’s not just you. I thought today was Thursday, too. In fact, I couldn’t figure out why ER wasn’t playing tonight! lol
I can’t thank you enough for sharing about Margaret and Helen! That Helen can brighten up anyone’s day!
Hey, it’s me again. I’m still reading Margaret and Helen! And yes it’s 3:11 a.m.! lol
Did you see how many comments their posts are receiving? My goodness! Just the post “What was I thinking when I called Sarah Palin a bitch” has 456 comments so far! This is amazing!
LOL, Skye-Lynn! I’m so glad that you enjoyed it. I must have spent hours going through her posts. There aren’t a ton of them, but I had to re-read some of them and cracked up just as much the second time around.
And I agree! It’s crazy the number of comments she gets! Of course, not all are quite positive.
I found it on an author’s blog. Her name is Lani Diane Rich and I really enjoyed her book, “A Little Ray of Sunshine,” so I added her blog to my reader. She doesn’t post often, but this link was worth the wait.
Anyway, I’m glad you’re enjoying it!!
