Living Authentically

I have written often about my love of Brené Brown’s work.  She is a brilliant shame researcher and author who not only helped change my self-attitude and the way I look at shameful situations with her book, but continues to give me things to think about through her blog.  Today’s post moved me more than I can say.  She began her blog post today with this quote from her book:

Brené Brown, while an absolutely brilliant woman, is also an honest and real woman.  Her life isn’t perfect; she isn’t perfect, but she admits it and lives authentically.  That’s what makes her so wonderful.  I hope to be like her someday.

Her definition of authenticity is what I’m currently striving for in my life and my goal for this blog.  It truly sums up what I’m trying to do here.  If you’re interested, you can read more from Brené at her site Ordinary Courage.
