I’m sorry this is going to be short because I’ve been slammed at work and am only on a short break. I lost 1.3 pounds this week!
I’ll be completely up front with you all right now though. My goal for this holiday season is to only maintain. I’m at 188 right now and I hope to stick within the 185-195 range. If I can do that, I’ll be extremely happy. If I go under, then whoohoo! If I go over, then I’ll kick my own butt back down to that range.
But I’m not going to torture myself as I have for the last two years. For the past two holiday seasons, I’ve agonized over every bite that went into my mouth and this year I’ve decided enough is enough. I can’t live like that. I’m not going to allow myself to ruin my own enjoyment of a holiday party (for example) by stressing over whether I should or shouldn’t have a cookie (stress on “a cookie”). I will watch my portion sizes and will only spend my points on things that I think are really worth it, but I’m not going to beat myself up over every little thing.
After the New Year, I’ll just have to re-evaluate where I’m at and where I want to be. But for now, I’m content with my decision and what I’m doing.
