I just got done watching the season premiere of The Biggest Loser and can tell that it’s going to be a good season. Having started at an extremely high weight myself, I am relieved to see so many larger-sized contestants, especially larger women. I will find it interesting to see how they respond to life on the ranch and will wonder if that is how I would have responded. My heart simply breaks for these people. They have so much more courage than I. I would never have been able to stand up there for critique the way they did. [ ... ]

Wow, it almost hurt to write the 09 in the date in the subject line. To state something you’ve probably already heard a gazillion times since last week: It’s so hard to believe it’s 2009 already. Which, by the way, reminds me that I forgot to wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope your year has gotten off to a great start.
Now on to business. Sometimes I think that my scale just likes to mess with me once in a while, because when I weighed in today, I weighed in at exactly the same weight that I weighed [ ... ]
