Thanks for the support everyone! I know it's not going to be easy, but I'm going to give it a shot - at least try to bring it down a bit.

I've been using a new food logger online (it's not free) and it calculates everything and I realized that I would have all A's and B's (it grades you on everything) except for sodium, I would end up with a D or F everyday. So I'm sure it's all of us that has to really work on consuming less sodium. One thing I try to do now too is up my water. I was only drinking about 96 oz a day and have tried to up that to a gallon, I know that must help a little. Good luck with this. I'm sure it will be tough but worth it in the long run.

Trying to keep sodium low is hard. You really do have to eat clean most of the time to avoid it. They put it into everything to make the food taste better! In the process of watching your sodium, you'll probably be feeding your body better. More work, yes, but the pay-off is worth it ;)

I can sympathize (or is it emphathize), Pamela. I try to limit my sodium intake, too. I remember when I started WW, I ate Smartones for lunch every day and lots of prepackaged stuff. I switched to the old Core plan when I reached a plateau and it helped me to eat fresh foods more.

This statement you made: "I knew that if I felt too overwhelmed or too deprived/cut off, then I would quit or give up like all the other times." - rings true for me, too. I always breakdown the ultimate goal into smaller manageable pieces so I can handle them, at least psychologically.

Look how far you've come and what you have been able to accomplish. You can SO do this! Go kick some sodium butt!!!!

I am constantly looking at sodium content of everything I buy, however, I rarely do any of the frozen or packaged meals. I really try and "eat clean" as much as possible. I even make my own soup!

I was thinking last night about how bad I am with the sodium (all from what the amazing Dr Oz said to the overweight kids on Oprah).

I need to watch more...because it's all about whats happening inside us and that sodium is NOT our friend huh?

Here's some good news: the more natural the food (i.e. fruit and veg) the less salt you need to make it palatable. They are also the foods that make you lose weight faster and they provide thousands of valuable nutrients.

Well done on being prepared to tackle one more issue on your road to health.
