Uncovering Pamela
Learning To Live After Losing A Person

A bit of humor in my day

February 10th, 2009 by Pamela

I forgot to mention a couple of things in my post earlier.  I just called my dad and he’s really so cute sometimes.  Like the time he made a cake for my mom for her birthday.  But when I asked how he was doing, he said he was bored.  It’s obvious that he really misses my mom.

But I did see something happen on the way into work today that had me laughing, and believe me when I say that laughing is something that usually doesn’t happen on the way into work.

I was stopped at an intersection and a group of teenagers were walking across the street on the other side of the road from me.  There were both guys and girls.  All of a sudden, one of the guys grabbed another one and dumped his drink down his shirt.  We’re talking Big Gulp size drink here.  The victim stopped and pulled his shirt away from him and a whole bucketload of ice fell out.  Now, it was 72 degrees here today and they were wearing t-shirts and shorts, but I’m sure that was still quite a bit chilly.

Of course, I thought it was hilarious.  Just the look on the kid’s face was priceless.  But they all must have been really good friends, because the fight I expected didn’t break out and after playing around for a bit, they gave each other one of those awkwards half-hug things.  They all walked on, but I was left smiling for a while.
