Crazy that they gave you the scissors! Last time I stayed in the hospital, the nurse packed two big bags of stuff up from my room for me. The Kleenex and toilet paper, this breathing measurement tool, plastic bins, all kinds of stuff. There were no shiny, sharp things though.
