Sleepy Time

Okay, so it’s not really sleepy time – especially since I’ve only been awake for about five hours – but I’m sure ready for it.  I think I’ve yawned about 12 times in the past 15 minutes.  Seriously.

How was everybody’s weekend?  Mine was all right.  I didn’t do a whole lot.  Ran errands, did grocery shopping and laundry and such.  I did go hiking on Saturday, but didn’t walk as far as I usually do.  It was beautiful on Saturday:  in the 70s with a cool breeze and sunny blue skies.  Yesterday, on the other hand, was hideous:  in the 30s with rain, sleet, and a bit of snow.  I wish the weather could make up its mind.  Either get warm and stay warm or stay cold.  Either is fine with me – just pick one and stick with it!  Enough with the dropping 40 degrees in less than 24 hours.

Now that I have that out of my system… :)   Here are a couple of pictures I took with my cell phone before we went hiking on Saturday.  Unfortunately, the quality isn’t that great, but you get the idea.  I was worried about the flowers with the pretty heavy freeze we had last night.  You could already see some damage to some of the flowers from the freeze we had last week.  In the middle of the lake were a couple of rock platforms and on each there were at least three pond turtles sunning themselves.  I really need to make it a rule that I can’t go out there without my camera any more.

I didn’t do so great food wise over the weekend, but I was down one pound today from yesterday.  Since yesterday I was up a few pounds over last weigh-in, that’s not so great.  I did go grocery shopping yesterday and bought food with an eye to staying on plan and I’m determined to stick with it when I get home from work tonight.  Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Do any of you check out PostSecret?  I try to catch it every Sunday when he posts the new ones.  There are quite a few that deal with body image and there was one that broke my heart this week.  I wish that I could give the person who created it a huge hug and tell her that she is perfect the way she is.

I read Post Secret all the time, I’m only missing one of Frank’s books. I save all the postcards that I connect with. That was one of them.

    Beautiful pics :)

I remember that one. It struck me as a bit defeatist. Some people really can’t see the forest for the trees.

    Graized’s last blog post..They can’t all have creative titles…
