I hope everyone is having a fantastic Saturday!
It’s still snowing here, and has been coming down all day. The world is gorgeous today, but cold and wet! By the time we finished all of our errands, my hair was just soaked.
Unfortunately, due to the direction our house faces, even if there’s only an inch or two of snow on the ground, it all drifts up right in front of our door!
We ran to Target earlier this afternoon:
And I’m telling you, I hate this time of year – don’t get me wrong, I love Easter, but seeing these things everywhere is pure torture. I would have to say that my two biggest weaknesses in the food world are pizza and Reese’s Eggs. Now, the hearts and trees are still yummy, but there’s just something about the eggs. I made my mom swear to only buy me ONE for Easter. I can honestly say that I could probably eat two entire packages of these over the course of a day or two (not that I’ve ever done that, of course…..maybe one package, but never two!
).
My mom took this one out the car window:
And my temperamental heads-up display in my car actually decided to work today!
We also did some clothes shopping, but I didn’t find anything that I liked. Clothes shopping isn’t nearly as much fun as it used to be. I did decide to get silly in the dressing room and snap a terrible shot. I tell you what, I hate having my picture taken again. Tomorrow, we’re celebrating my grandma’s 81st birthday, and I know that there are going to be the obligatory group shots. I know this, because I’m the one that has making everyone be in them for the past few years and has been taking them. So, now it’s expected. Anyway, guess I was trying to prepare myself for the inevitable. Aren’t bulky winter coats just so flattering? LOL
For my last confession of the day, my mom conned me into watching the Hannah Montana movie and I am so ashamed to admit that it wasn’t half bad. I still freaking love this song, though:
Saturday’s almost over and I’m still on plan, guys. No more slips! I have to admit that I’m pretty proud of myself for fessing up to yesterday’s insanity. I peaked at the scale earlier and it shows me as being down a bit. Got my fingers crossed! I’m going to try to do the best I can at my grandma’s dinner tomorrow night – they’re having steak, baked potatoes or baked sweet potatoes (which I will pick) and salad. I’m going to try to avoid the cake and ice cream, but I have enough flex points left over that I might allow myself a little bit of each. I mean, this is about learning to live, right?
Anyway, guess I’m done rambling for tonight. I hope you all are having a beautiful, safe, and warm weekend!
So I was about to post this when my mom reminded me of a song that we used to have fun singing together when my brother and I were little, I still remember the words (sung to the tune of “On Top of Old Smokey”):
On top of spaghetti
All covered with cheese
I lost my poor meatball
When somebody sneezed
It rolled off the table
And onto the floor
And then my poor meatball
Rolled out the door
It rolled into the garden
And under a bush
And then my poor meatball
Was nothing but mush
Isn’t it amazing that I became overweight? LOL

I am glad that you told your mom to only buy you one of those eggs,,,, one won’t kill you, well I guess 10 wouldn’t kill you either, but it might set you back a bit on getting to where you want to be. The snow hasn’t hit here yet, still rain, but its down to 35 degrees right now, hopefully it won’t snow much.
.-= Ron´s last blog ..What a beautiful day today =-.
Oh yeah, Ron, I was adamant about it! Since each one is 4 points each, 10 will definitely do some damage! lol
I’ve got my fingers crossed for you guys – hope you don’t get hit like we did.
I loved singing that song as a child too. Have a great party !

Thank you, Jaime!
Wow, I can’t believe your weather. It was 66 degrees here and there are flowers (daffs and tulips) everywhere. Allt the flowering trees are in full bloom and the leaves are popping out on the non-flowering trees. It’s like it’s summer here. My husband even had to mow the grass yesterday.
Easter candy is the best! I think it’s something to do with the shape, most of it is round or oval, like an egg. Somehow makes it taste better.
I love that song too. One of my favorites.
You’re doing fantastic Pamela. Absolutely fantastic!
.-= Diana´s last blog ..The little train that could =-.
Thank you, Diana! It was in the 50s all last week, but then we got hit with that snowstorm. Luckily, it’s already starting to melt, and it’s going to be in the 50s again this week. Just a freak storm!
Okay, I have to admit, I really enjoyed the Hannah Montana movie, too! lol And I love that song as well!
The weather is just amazing me. Here we are, in South Louisiana, with the heaters on at the end of March! That is just unheard of in these neck of the woods! lol
As far as Easter candy, I treat it the same as Valentine’s Day candy….. it’s best left in the stores! I have absolutely no willpower where this is concerned so it simply can not enter my house.
Thanks for the pics again! I love seeing how you live!
.-= Skye-Lynn Young´s last blog ..Revelation =-.
You know, Skye, you’re actually one of the reasons my mom was able to talk me into watching it! I had remembered when you said that you went with your daughter and that you thought it wasn’t that bad. That’s crazy that you guys are getting cooler weather, too!
Most Easter and Valentine’s Day candy I can pass by fairly easily…but those darn Reese’s ones make my mouth water!
Just discovered your blog! I’m really enjoying it – if you get a chance check out mine – http://www.fatbutchanging.blogspot.com
Thank you, Ali! I just checked out your blog and love it! I will be checking in often! I am also adding it to my blogroll now…
