Me, me, me. Since I’ve been blogging much more frequently lately and have cut back on my blog reading (temporarily, I promise -- I was just getting a bit overwhelmed trying to keep up with so many people), I’ve felt that I’ve been in my own little “me universe.” Blah. There are much more interesting topics out there. Such as YOU.
So in the interest of getting to know you guys a bit better, I’ve come up with a few questions for you that I’d love for you to answer. I’ll even get us started by answering them myself. I hope you will answer them, as I’d love to learn more about you guys. And any of you lurking out there, I hope you will take this opportunity to pop in and say hi. Feel free not to answer any of the questions that you don’t feel comfortable answering, of course. Not wanting to answer one or more of the questions, doesn’t mean that you can’t answer some of them, or hell, even make up your own question that you’d like to answer (or have myself and others answer).

- A suburb of Kansas City (on the KS side), though I lived in Nashville, TN for about 6 years during and after college

- Reading and watching movies, though I enjoy being creative, too. I like to make things such as jewelry and to write (when I can get my brain to chill out long enough to string a complete sentence together). I also enjoy computer games and sightseeing quite a bit.
- I love just about all kinds of movies and books (as you guys have probably figured out already). I’m a sucker for sci fi/fantasy and romantic comedies the most, probably.
- I’d have to say my ability to put myself into others’ shoes and imagine how they’re feeling. Unfortunately, I take those emotions upon myself far too often. I also feel that I can be extremely compassionate (though I do have my moments, believe me).
- Just that I hope some of you will take the time to respond, and that I am overwhelmingly grateful for the support I’ve found here.

I have tried many things but always quit because I would just rather curl up with a good book.Although I sure do love to be out camping with my family , cooking outside on an open fire and feeling like nothing else matters but being together. Where are you from? Gaborone, Botswana (Southern Africa, not South Africa). Though I’ve lived in a couple other places in the country this has always been the place I return to, like my base.

1. Where are you from? – I never know how to answer this question. I spent the first 13.5 years of my life living in Brooklyn, NY, went to high school in Central New York, undergrad in Buffalo for 4 years, moved to Boston for a year, back to Buffalo for a year, Rochester NY for about a year, Athens Ohio for two years for grad school, near Albany NY for 8 months and am now back at my parents’ house in Central New York

3. Are you married? – I was engaged until about a month ago. I hope one day to get married.
4. Do you have kids? – Hopefully one day
5. What is your favorite hobby? – reading, watching movies, started to get into scrapbooking/card-making.
6. What is your favorite kind of movie/book? – With movies I look to be entertained, and what will do that depends on my mood, anything from Disney/kids movies to action movies to independent films. With books I’ll read basically anything that keeps me engaged. This has more to do with an author’s style than the type or subject of the book. I am an avid and fast reader so I have instituted a rule about the books I’m allowed to purchase, I can only buy a book if I am sure I will want to read it again or reference it in the future after reading it. This has lead to me having quite a large collection of “romance” novels, mainly Nora Roberts, though my Debbie Macomber, Susan Wiggs, and Catherine Anderson collections are growing. I also really enjoy Urban Fantasy type science fiction novels. My favorite authors in this category right now are Kelley Armstrong, C.E. Murphy, Patricia Briggs, Yasmine Galenorn, Faith Hunter, and Karen Chance.
7. What you think your greatest quality is? – I’m an extremely loyal and caring person.

I live in Boston during the week and Vermont on the weekends. We like to say we work in Boston and LIVE in Vermont.

I will be celebrating my fourth 39th anniversary in July.
3.Are you married?
Technically, no, but we’ve been together since ’83, living in sin since ’85 but there is no common law marriage in Mass. so, no, we’re not married. After 27 years we figure why mess with a good thing.

No, B is a big kid and more than I can handle most days. I’m the best Auntie though.

Snowmobiling, Photography and Reading – I can’t choose a favorite.
