Enough of the Blahs

All right, you guys.  Enough with the god-awful depressing crap on my blog.  I’m still kind of in a funk, but today is looking up.

My supervisor at work is on vacation as of today, and after many years of working here, my coworkers and I know to expect *it* to hit the fan.  And it kind of did earlier today.  But we got all of the fires put out and the people that were unhappy are now happy and we’re all caught up again.  It’s been really nice to be a bit less busy the past couple of days, because we feel like we’ve been going at about 900 mph for the last several months.

On a positive front, I peeked at the scale today and it looked like I was down a little bit from Tuesday.  I haven’t been completely tracking, but have been trying to pay closer attention to when I’m hungry, etc.  So I’m kind of tracking, but kind of not.  I know that there have been several days over the last week that I was actually under my points, which I know isn’t good, but I’m not going to worry about it – and I was sick at the end of last week.

I finally got around to making my W.I.D.T.H. pic for Jack Sh*t’s site and sent it in today, so be on the lookout for that (if it makes the cut ;) ).  There are so many reasons that I’m here and doing this, that it was hard to sum it up in just one, but the one I chose is one that I’m going to try to keep in mind from now on when I feel like giving up.

So if you haven’t made your W.I.D.T.H. pic, get to it!  Check out some of the ones that have been done here.  There are several pages of them!  Some make me laugh, and others break my heart.

Well, I’m still hanging in here.  I hope you all are having a fantastic week!  I thought in closing I would share a pic of the glorious Kansas City sunset we had tonight (taken with my new EVO – not too shabby, eh?):

And because we can never have too many laughs, I found this from one of my favorite shows (I started busting a gut at about 3 minutes in):

PS – a few days ago, I wrote about my posts that get the most hits from web searches, but somehow I forgot one of the ones that gets almost more than any other:  My Stitches Story (It’s amazing how many people search for variations on “stitches in finger” or “mandolin accident”)

:)

That’s one of my favorite TV shows too! Drew Carey was just here in South Africa for the World Cup and I enjoyed his tweets tremendously. Wayne Brady also performs here quite regularly, but I haven’t been to one of his shows yet.

I experienced a lot of personal revelations while reading your blog these last few days… We are not that different. I have struggled with some of the very same emotions in the past. You WILL be fine!

For the first time since the WIDTH started, I actually have something to say, so I’m will be doing one in the next few days too…
