Okay, I’m probably going to regret this post in the morning, but I’m seriously starting to freak out over Step 2 in my Project Phobia. It’s 12:15 am right now and my heart is racing, my fingers are trembling, and I’m about on the verge of tears.
And I feel like I complete idiot. This is so humiliating.
I’ve planned for step 2 to take place tomorrow (Tuesday) morning sometime. Yes, I actually plan on being out of bed. Lord help me not chicken out. I keep cycling through phases of – this is no. big. deal. Just do it. – and – OMG I CAN’T DO THIS! Guess which one I’m feeling right now?
Deep breaths. Deep breaths. I promise you guys I’m not a psycho. You know me.

Pamela, whatever it is that’s freaking you out, try some meditation. Just something simple, where you sit quietly, close your eyes, take yourself to your happy place and take deep, slow breaths, inhale through your mouth, hold it for a moment, exhale through your nose. When you exhale imagine this fear leaving your body.
Take care Pamela. I know you’re not crazy. Maybe a little quirky, but that’s what makes you such an interesting and fascinating person.
I adore you.

Diana, thank you! I appreciate you so much.
we have ALL BEEN THERE.
at least I have.
for me lately it helps to focus on worrying is praying for what I do not want and, in a sense, fear is same as well.

You can do it! Fear is a feeling, there is no feeling in the world we cannot overcome if we commit to doing so (I say this as someone who hss had to conquer the feeling of pain multiple times, labor’s like that!).
Conquer and succeed Pam!

I think we all have certain phobia’s some off us admit to them and others deny. They are hard to overcome but i do believe do-able.
I agree with Diana meditation can help.

don’t give up! We all adore you and your blog. We’re really really rooting for you Pamela!!
Thank you all! I made it through! Diana’s advice really helped. I pictured the fear as this black sludge in my body that I released as I exhaled. Goofy, but it helped!
Pam, the only thing that can stop you from achieving your goals is your own mind. You can get through this as long as you BELIEVE you can get through it. You will come out the other side a stronger, more confident, more powerful person. I’m sending you happy thoughts and I know you can do it!
Thank you, Bryan! I’m going to carry some of the things you said with me as I face my next battle!
