Weigh-In 3/24/09

As I suspected, I am up 1.5 pounds this week.  Granted, it is quite a bit less than the gazillion pounds I was expecting, but it’s still not great. I’m honestly not sure what to do with myself.  I’m not sure how to get back on the wagon.  It’s so easy to just say “just do it,” and that’s probably what the me of two years ago would have told the current me, but it’s not that easy. Weigh-In 2/17/09

Today’s weigh-in is a full-blown miracle.  Somehow, I lost 3.1 pounds and made it back into the 180s!  As I mentioned, I did fairly great on the exercise front, but food-wise, I lost my mind.  This is hard to admit, but over the course of Saturday alone, I ate an entire medium deep dish, extra pepperoni (with banana peppers and grated parmesan cheese) Domino’s pizza by myself.  Minus one slice that my dad snatched.  It was extremely delicious and I didn’t eat it all at once (I probably could have, but made it two meals and a snack), but still!  When [ ... ]

Weigh-In 2/10/09

As I suspected, I was up 6.6 pounds on the scale today.  Craziness!  That’s what?  Something like 23,000 extra calories this week if I actually did gain that much?  I do think some of it at least was water retention, but it’s still crazy.  Oh well, it’s a new day and a new week! My finger is still on the mend.  It aches a bit, but very few sharp stabbing pains anymore, and I usually have to whack it on something (not intentionally, of course) or press on it accidentally for it to really hurt.  I am concerned about getting the [ ... ]

Weigh-In 2/3/09 & “Stitches” Story

Thank you all for the well wishes and the interest in my story!  Sorry it took me so long to let you know what happened, but things actually got a bit more interesting after I posted that picture. Weigh-In 1/27/09

I kicked my scale’s butt this week, and not in the usual, I weigh so much it wants to cry kind of way.  My first thought when I saw my weigh-in was “Holy Crap!”  And then WHOOHOO!  I lost 4.8 pounds for a grand total of 158.4 pounds gone.  Of course, I’m still a few pounds over my lowest weight of last summer, and still have 14.5 pounds to go, but I’m heading in the right direction again.  I give my recent addiction to whole wheat couscous all the credit.    (Oh and you guys, of course!!!!) Weigh-In 1/20/09

Weigh-In….or how to blow a whole week’s worth of hard work in a single day. I did fantastic all week, ate well within my points, went hiking on both Saturday and Sunday, and then sent it all down in a blaze of glory paved with Friday’s Chicken Fingers and Fries and an orgy of Peanut Clusters. Yummmmmm, but the couple of pounds I was down on Sunday, turned into a 1.2 pound gain on the scale today. I also have Diana to thank for reminding me of how much I love sweet potatoes. Weigh-In 1/13/09

One week back on plan and I lost 2.6 pounds!  Whoohoo!  I’m back down in the 180s – 188.1 to be exact. I’m technically supposed to be at 24 points, but WW online allows you to adjust your points by plus or minus 3 points.  After the last couple of months, I knew that there was no way that I would stay on plan at 24 points, so I adjusted it this week to 27 points a day.  I finished the week with 3.5 flex points left over.  And I would say that it was a success!  Since I lost, I [ ... ]

Weigh-In 1/6/09

Wow, it almost hurt to write the 09 in the date in the subject line.  To state something you’ve probably already heard a gazillion times since last week:  It’s so hard to believe it’s 2009 already.  Which, by the way, reminds me that I forgot to wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR!  I hope your year has gotten off to a great start. Weigh-In 12/30/08

Holy Moly am I a lucky girl.  I only gained 1.5 pounds this week, which is absolutely stunning considering the amount of crap I ate over the holiday weekend.  I mean, seriously, if it was edible and wasn’t glued down, it went into my mouth.  And since there wasn’t anything edible in my presence that was glued down, that means I pretty much ate everything that was edible in my line of sight.  I hope everyone had a happy holiday.  Mine was fairly decent.  I think the change in my sleep schedule, an increase in medication, and the additional sugar [ ... ]

I’m sorry this is going to be short because I’ve been slammed at work and am only on a short break.  I lost 1.3 pounds this week! I’ll be completely up front with you all right now though.  My goal for this holiday season is to only maintain.  I’m at 188 right now and I hope to stick within the 185-195 range.  If I can do that, I’ll be extremely happy.  If I go under, then whoohoo!  If I go over, then I’ll kick my own butt back down to that range. Weigh-In 12/2/08

My prayers came true, though I didn’t ask for much.  My only wish was that I would stay in the 180s.  I’m still there – just barely, but I’m still there.  I weighed in at 189.3 today, up 1.9 pounds from last week.  Considering I was up as far as 193 over the weekend, I can’t complain. I stayed on plan today and counted all of my points.  Even better, I stayed within my points/flex points.  I’m determined to have a loss next week. Weigh-In 11/18/08

Whoohoo! I gained 4.6 pounds.  I win!  Er….wait.  That’s not right.  Oh yeah, I’m supposed to be trying to have a big LOSS not a big GAIN.  Oops.  Can’t blame a girl for trying. I’m actually probably a bit higher than that, but since I had to eat an early lunch again today, I’m taking yesterday’s weight as my official weigh-in.  That’s what?  Almost 8 pounds in two weeks.  Uh-uh.  Not going to continue. Weigh-In 11/11/08

“Up, up she goes.”  I have that song that Kate Winslet sings at the end of Titanic stuck in my head.  That Josephine flying machine song.  Maybe that’s because I gained 2.4 pounds this week.  I’ve been extremely nauseous the past few days, so I’ve been eating what I think I can keep down and when I feel I need to eat.  I figure that was more important than trying to stick to a certain amount of points.  I have a feeling this is going to be the norm until I get used to this new medicine. Weigh-In 11/4/08

Since I’m currently holding my breath while watching the election coverage, I thought this would be a good chance to update my blog.  All I have to say at this point:  Stupid Kansas People!  )  Said with total love, of course. I weighed in today and once again, I’m proof that miracles can happen.  As I said, I did some pretty strenuous hiking on Saturday, but I don’t see how that could have balanced out all of the junk I ate.  I was attacked again by that fun size candy bar monster, who was also joined by that little Papa [ ... ]

Weigh-In 10/28/08 (Week 125)

My weigh-in was a success again today which is fantastic since it is my 125th week on Weight Watchers.  I lost 1.6 pounds, which puts me back past the -160 mark.  I’ve lost 160.2 pounds to be exact.  I’m still 3.6 pounds over my lowest weight on this journey, but just give me time and I’ll be back in VFT (virgin fat territory). One of my yummiest new meals is courtesy of those new Ziploc Zip ‘n Steam bags.  This is the first time I’ve tried them and I have to say that I’m really impressed.  I had some frozen tilapia, so I [ ... ]
