I have to admit that I’m completely devastated by last night’s episode. I’ve been rooting for Bernie and Brittany from day one, so to see Bernie go home was extremely sad. He should be so proud of himself, though. Not only for losing the weight that he has, and for accomplishing as much as he has, but also because it was simply extremely decent and kind of him to give immunity to his partner, Brittany. Before you say what a dumb move it was for him not to keep it for himself, he was not allowed to do so. [ ... ]

In doing some more thinking about the movie, “The Bucket List,” and how it applies to my own life, it made me think of all of the things I’ve avoided doing or trying in my life because of my weight. The fear of using too much money and not saving for a rainy day weren’t the only things holding me back.
There are so many situations I avoided or turned down because I felt uncomfortable with who I was and how I looked. I avoided just about any new situation that had the potential for embarrassment, any situation in which I [ ... ]
