A Touch of Nature

Today was an absolutely gorgeous day.  It was around 68 degrees.  The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and there was a cool breeze. Normally, the terms “exercise” and “Pamela” don’t co-exist in the same air space.  However, I was feeling a bit energetic today for some reason and after a rousing game of Scrabble with my mom (she beat me by six points), I decided to go for a walk around the lake near my house.  Yes, me!  A walk!  Outside even! I do, however, only have about six pounds to go until I am considered merely overweight, but it’s still pretty [ ... ]

Where’d she go?

Just over a year and a half ago, I joined Weight Watchers online.  Before I begin, let me start by saying that I am not here to promote Weight Watchers in any way, but you should know up front that that is how I have lost 145 lbs so far.  It obviously works.  I still have a bit of weight to lose to be where I need to be, but even now I’m struggling with learning about who I really am.  For so long, I was the “fat girl.”  Now that I’m not quite so fat, who am I?  Perhaps [ ... ]
